It's great to meet you, Mama! 

When I became pregnant with my sons, I was a principal and education director. I struggled to find maternity clothes that were formal enough for my job, and that fit my 5'2" frame. As we professional mamas know, pregnant and nursing women are still often met with judgement and questions about our career commitment when we decide to become mothers. While we are working together to change that, we also need to ensure that pregnant women can continue to look our best on the job. Maternity is a time when the feeling of professional power becomes more important than ever.

Women are rising to the top of our professions. We're waiting until later in life to have our babies, meaning we're often pregnant in senior positions that demand better clothes. Quality workwear is now a basic necessity for pregnant and breastfeeding women, and a vital ingredient in our progress toward gender equity. The empowerment of motherhood is deeply important and long overdue. MARION is my small contribution to this cause.

MARION offers exquisitely cut, sustainably sourced, quality pieces formal enough for a board meeting, and feminine enough for a dinner date. We've designed invisible access for nursing and pumping, and cuts that flatter at all stages of pregnancy while fitting like "regular" clothes afterward (really). We also carry a line of quality maternity essentials, like sustainable maternity leggings, nursing bras, and tanks. 

Because MARION cares about equity, we also make our styles in both petite and standard lengths, and are working to increase our offerings in extended sizes. Because we care about elevating women, we donate a portion of all profits to women's healthcare and girls' education worldwide. Because we care about access, we are working to build a buy-back program that will allow lower-income professional women to purchase gently used MARION styles at a discounted rate.  

Women are powerful. We are capable of leading the world and carrying the next generation in our bodies. More and more, we're doing both simultaneously. MARION makes clothes for the world-changers who are also mothers. As you shape society and commerce, we're here to make your transition to motherhood beautiful, sustainable, and effortlessly professional.
